  1. 7:23? Holy crap, dude. That's a time I don't even fantasize about. Congratulations! And thanks for the details on your fueling strategy. After my 100K bonk I've had to rethink mine. I don't know if I can stomach a Gu every 3 miles, though.

    1. Thanks! How did you end up in your 100K? I've had issues with gels in the past, but the Clif ones are of a thicker consistency than most, so it helps me get/keep them down. If every 3 miles doesnt work, do every 30-45 minutes. I just needed to get 250-300 calories in myself per hour to keep my energy up. I also used mocha which had caffeine to give myself a boost.

  2. It sounds like you had an awesome trip there. Congratulations! Smart idea organizing those cooler bags as you did although as you experience even the best made plans during an ultra can fall apart. I need to get that organized too. I always show up to a drop bag station and can't find my stuff, then when I do find my bag I can't find what I need in it. Your going to love Zion. I ran it this year and I am signed up next year as well. If I bump into you i'll say hi. I just posted my race report on it too. https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=5748128504429842997#allposts

    1. David, I will definitely look for you out there! I just read your blog/viewed your Google+ profile and it looks like you were at Javelina Jundred. Crazy thing is I was there too! Small small world of ultras we live in!
